I was playing around with various quizzes that Iw as interested in, and I'm extremely happy with the results. ^-^ I don't really put so much into thinking they're perfectly true and what not, but it makes me laugh to know I'm not the only one who thinks of various things. New icon batch out since a while, these were just small experiments. The Misc. icons are mostly self-indulgent, I just wanted to add them in case someone wanted to use one. Also, as I realized that when I reorganized the icons in my Image Cave account, It changed the URLs of every icon I have ever posted on this Livejournal. -_- That being said, I spent a majority of today going to each of my posts to replace each individual picture. Well now. :3 It's been a while since I posted.
Let's keep it short and sweet, shall we? Actually, where's the fun in that, I'm just gonna say what I like. ;P

First, I have icons to post, but they are on my laptop. I will post them in the near future when I finish a banner for Rukia I am making for an awesome roleplayer at the Bleach RP forum.
I also made Grimmjow icons, Ulquiorra icons, and I believe I made some other spontaneous ones. :3 They don't look great, but they aren't too bad in my own taste either. I got a couple unique screencaps that I'm dying to use now...

That may take a while, however, before I post, due to my preocupation in making my holloween costume. I'm not going trick-or-treating, but I'm going to some costume parties, so I will be suited for the occasion. Due to my late start, however, I cannot make the entire thing from scratch.

I'm going to be a shinigami. ^-^ I'll be improvising the main shihakusho with a graduation robe that I'll be touching up with a white border around the neckline and down, and I'm weaving my own waraji sandals. I'm not quite sure what to do about the under robe, I might actually make it. I'm just cosplaying as my custom rp character, so I'll have some unique changes. (In other words, it's much easier to accept mistakes when the character's not being compared to someone's favorite, right? ;P)
I bought a pair of riding gloves, I'm planning on making my zanpakuto (out of a piece of wood from the hardware store), And I'm using a strip of cloth for the himo white sash thing. :) I'm also just going to mangle a pair of socks to make the tabi socks.

So, what's everyone else's plan for holloween? This is my first official attempt at cosplay, even if it isn't an official character, so I'm thinking of actually posting a picture. I'm not really sure just yet.

Well now, I thought I would post since I haven't in a while. ^^

I uploaded some of my own userpics (icons I made and drew on my own) so I'm excited about that. I was bored today so I drew some squirrels in my notebook during English class. And lo and behold, I almost have enough variations to create a full Mood Theme. Until I draw the rest, it'll be incomplete. ;P But I'm happy with it. When I'm really bored over the school year, when I have no homework, I might give the pictures borders and make them a standard size.

What happened to all that bored freetime I had when I was little? D:

I've made a couple new icons, kind of a hodgepodge mix of them. ^.^ I'll post once I get a few more to make it a substansial batch. I've got a buncha homework I'm going to work on once I finish this post, and I'll work on it all. I'm thinking of trying out for the 100iconfiend challenge, but I don't really know who to do. My faint idea was to do Tamaki from the Ouran High School Host Club, since he hasn't been claimed yet.

I never did mention, but I beat my summer reading challenge. By two books. o.o It was really close. ^^;;; Total was 125!

Lately also, I've been going on Gaia to do free avi art, as well as I have a 100 gold (per any drawing) art shop. But naturally, I haven't got much buisness.

Playing with textures

Let's say this is a present for my extended leave over the summer so far.

I was really having a lot of fun ~~being tortured~~ watching the Olympics with my grandmother, and I ~~luckily~~ had my laptop with me.
So, I was playing with textures, something I don't do so often. I usually stick to brushes. I've also lately become a fan of Juvenile Orion, particularly of Tonomori Nakaura of Wiz-dom. I scanned in a bunch of his appearences in the book, so I was playing with my cleaned up versions and made some of them into icons. ;P I may or may not post the cleaned versions for other people, I'm not sure if I'd be sued for copyright infringement. D:

So anyway, credit is unnecessary but welcomed in love;

I haven't been on for a long time, simply because I've had nothing to say. Sorry for the extended absence, though. To be honest, I probably won't be on again for another long while.
Lately, I slacked off in the writing of the titles of the books I've read, mom got mad at me for getting on the internet every night, ^ ^;; I've since kept up a total on a scrap of paper...which I don't have with me right now. Well, shoot.

Meanwhile, I've still been practicing a little in photoshop when I could con my way onto my laptop, since it has all my brushes, textures, and fonts. These are the few icons I pulled out that were somewhat good. I know they aren't great, I was just experimenting.

Well, I've decided to do my reading list here. I'm starting out with just some of the series I'm trying to finish that I'm in the middle of, then I'm working up to just random books I want to read. I'll group the entrie by month for easy editing. Each volume counts as one, and I only add the book when I've completely finished reading it.

June 12th - I convinced mom to take me to the mall with my friend Laura, and we met with my other friend Michelle. We got to go watch the Bleach movie! <3! There were some extras at the beginning, and wow, Tite Kubo can draw really fast. o_o I would take millions of hours to draw what he draws in a minute and a half. -sigh- I had a ton of fun! Today, I also went to band for the first time. It was fun, but we're playing a lot of the same pieces as before, when I was in the flute choir. Ah well, at least I know how they sound. So much fun though, I love our band teachers and us band geeks, it's oh so fun.

I re-organized it, so now, I just have everything under it's individual heading. If it's crossed out, I've finished the entire book/series. Sorry I haven't been on much. I uploaded a couple things on Deviantart. I'm trying to catch up with my Biology grade, but mostly on English Honors. *chokes*

Fanfiction #1 - intro to my OC

Hello everyone. If you've read earlier posts from myself, you will notice that I mentioned fanfictions. That I was attempting to...write.
I've looked up different tips for writing I've attempted to impliment, and I haven't finished any of my real fanfictions for my OC (lack of time). Unfortunately for everyone, I did an easier one that kind of starts off the introduction of my character. (If you can call it starting off. Owh, cliffhanger. >.<)

So, if you please, I would be absolutely floored if anyone would take the time to go look at it. <.<
I would really be extatic if you maybe reviewed on it. With comments on what worked/didn't work. >.>
So, um. Please critique. ^^; I'm actually really nervous about it. I've never put any of my writing (that I did on my own) out for someone to see.

Changes Before the End of Spring Break

Changes and other things I've been doing lately. This is my general to-do list, I work well when I'm a little organized. That and I wanted to post what I've updated. I have so much I would like to do...

* Changed the layout, basically so I could keep tags and other things I like updating. ~*
* I've been practicing in Photoshop 7 some more, with some random effects and tutorials. I can use textures to a small extent, and I know how to make masks work correctly now. I can also make images fade into each other and overlap, which is nice. ~*
* I'm going to make some new icons hopefully. I'll post the one's I practiced on, just so I can see what looks better, and what doesn't. ~*
* I changed my profile layout too. I updated the text and actually found something pretty to use. ~*
* I'm going to try to make a custome mood theme for my journal. (Dunno how that will turn out. ^-^;) ~*
* Oh. I meant to put this higher. I updated my account to be sponsored. This way I can add more userpics and play with the moodtheme. Unfortunately, this means I have advertisments. -_- Nyar. Oh well. I can't justify paying for computer pixels, so it'll probably stay this way if I can make it a little nicer. ~*
* I will touch up my friend's comic for her. I keep forgetting, and I feel really bad. I've been so busy...I wanted to get it done for her on her birthday, but I'm too late, so now I'm sad. And I still don't have a birthday present for her... ~*
* I'm going to try to get my Biology chapters done, finish my stations of the cross booklets, and do my Latin studying. Heh. ~*
* I didn't realize until now. I can change the little text and stuff around my journal! This is so cool. Anyway, I now need to think of something clever to put. Hmph. I can also change the layout colors! I'm not going to mess with them yet though, I don't want to ruin everything, now that it looks somewhat normal. I'm also trying to organize my tags to be organized and easy to search for. ~*
* From now on, I'm going to try to put my default userpic on the somewhat important entries (icon posts, graphic things, updates) and I'll use others on things that aren't. (Yes I am an organization freak. I want it to look good and somewhat unique! Like draiol's.) ~*

* Just for fun, I've made my own shinigami. (Pretty much based on me but with less problems. She's not a Mary-sue. At least I hope not.) I drew her, her sword (in all detail), her own spirtual world, and her zanpakuto in solid form. It's two actually, a white foxie-dragon and a black one. I love them! *huggles* Someone told me they look like pokemon. T_T *blows nose* If I can get the picture colored nicely in Photoshop, I'll post it here when I'm done.
I've also started a small story of how she learned about/became a shiginami. I began a simple description of her so that I could figure out all her small details, and somehow it's become a semi-joint fanfiction of sorts. My friend started wanting a character, and I was going to use a random person as my character's friend, so we fit her in. ^.^ I hope it comes out nicely, but I'm writing it with my friend's description, so it's a little difficult. We're planning on doing a full collaboration eventually. ~*

Okay, I've been bored, and I've wanted to post something, but I have nothing worth posting so...^^; And yes I have homework, so don't even mention school please. *begs*

I've been trying to find it for a while so I can upload it. I have a couple others I'll be using over the course of some other entries as well. Unfortunately, now al my other posts have different icons for my userpic. T_T I hate sites with paid accounts, nyar. I can't justify paying for computer pixels to myself, unfortunately. *cries*

I found a bunch of new brushes on Divant art that I'll be playing with. I'll add the users to my resourse page later, anyway. I found some flower brushes, japanese character brushes, blood, icon masks, and many other random things...

Meanwhile, I've been looking around at random places. I found some new songs to listen to, even if they aren't "new", por se, just different to me.
"Fences" by Paramore is one of my favorite ones lately. I've found some others, but the titles are all on our desktop computer, and I'm more comfortable using the laptop at my dad's desk. And I can't move my iTunes library unfortunately, it doesn't like me so far.

No icons for a while, working on layout

I really want to make my own layout. I'm starting to hate the customization thing, as you might have seen if you've seen the last 10 layouts I've changed and tried to get to work. -_-
I found this tutorial:

but I'm not really how I'll try to make it work. I have no idea what to make the layout look like. I'll probably end up making a random one with a bunch of shiney looking stuff on the header. Probably nothing important.
So, I'm not playing with icons for a while until I can try this out.

Any ideas on an actual theme...?

Edit, 3/30/2008 :
I found another website with layouts for the S2 version. In the midst of trying them, I realived that Plus accounts are free just with advertisments, and I upgraded to a simple, manageable, but pleasant layout. ^ . ^

Salve!
Lately I've been playing around with the different effects of Photoshop. I found a picture of Soi Fon from the anime Bleach that was kind of messy, so I touched it up and attempted the process of making an icon. Me, being a rank amateur, tried to add the effects in a pleasing and simple way, but I, still being a rank amateur, don't really know what looks good because I've seen the picture so many times.

So, here is the icon and all of it's ever so slight changes. If you could tell me which looks the best as far as what you think, I would appreciate it! (I understand that they're really small changes, sorry! ^^;) I'm a perfectionist when it comes to icons...
